Special Activities Committee Help with two gatherings in August and then you're done! The Special Activities Committee plans the Fall Kickoff, which is a gathering of all fall sports and band participants and their parents at the football stadium. We prepare hotdogs, handout chips and cookies and drinks to everyone. We also plan the Band Family Picnic where all the marching band/guard participants and their families come together for a picnic followed by a review of what the kids learned during band camp.
